Andrew Kass

Andy's short work appeared in Glimmer Train (including a Fiction Open Honorable Mention), Central Park and The New York Times, among other publications, and earned an Honorable Mention in the 90th Writer's Digest Short Story Competition, all while he partnered in a trans-Atlantic business pioneering in legal technology consulting. His novella “Deadline” received an Honorable Mention in the 2024 Black Orchid Novella Award contest.

 

Andy grew up on a dirt road in a swamp full of stories in New York City -- Staten Island, where he and his wife have raised two adventurous daughters and he may often be found playing original guitar tunes at local venues. Andy is a member of the New York Chapters of the Historical Novel Society and Mystery Writers of America, and a longtime contributor to Staten Island OutLOUD workshops and readings.
